Was Kashmir simmering over decades prior to 1990 when the unrest started? What were the events that led to blood bath on the streets of this paradise? Was there any chance that the destiny of Kashmir could have been different from what it is today? “The Chronicles of Kashmir”, brings to us a perspective based on the first-hand experience of Pandit Amarnath Vaishnavi, who was at the helm of political and social changes in Kashmir as an RSS Swayamsevak and as the president of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) and a major force behind some of the historic events that had an indelible mark on the destiny of its people particularly the minority Kashmiri Pandits. He led the Buddhist movement of 1968 and the Kashmiri Pandit agitation of 1967.
