Madhulika Handoo

Madhulika, called lovingly Noni by her family and friends is a 11 year old studying at Pinnacle School which has 20 branches in and around Delhi. Every year they celebrate annual day function in which students from all the branches participate. Noni is a regular participant from her junior class andd had been awarded every year for her brilliant performance in different types of dances as well as Yoga. This year Noni took part in the dance competitions, yoga as well as other activities. Noni was nominated the Best student of the year, First prize in Dancing and second in Yoga. She was interviewed by a leading TV Channel NDTV as well as by Metro Nation. The video slide show below presents some glimpses of the dance performance by the school children.

1.Hello Miss Handoo, how old are you and which school you go? Madhulika: I am Madhulika Handoo, friends call me Noni. I am 11 years old and I study at Pinnacle School 2.What motivates you for doing folk dance? Madhulika: I liked dancing right from my childhood. My family have always encouraged me to do what I liked the most. I thank my parents (Vijay Jyoti and Paviter Handoo) and my brother (Abhimanyu) for helping me in learning more in this field. 3.You look so cute in your dress, what do you plan for your future? Madhulika:Thanks, for your appreciation, I want to change the system in our society, to be a social worker. 4.You won an award in dance competition. How do you feel about it? Madhulika: Good and l look for more of them 5.What subject you love and which you hate most and why? Madhulika: I love History and I hate Geography because it is a very boring subject for me. 6.Would you like to go to Kashmir and what are your feelings about Kashmir Madhulika: Yes, why not but have seen it only in movies and books etc. I hear a lot about Kashmir from my family and it makes me very sad when they tell me as to how they left their home in Kashmir. I would like to see how my home in Kashmir looks like? I will love to go there, whenever my parents will take me there.
