Panun Kashmir Observes Holocaust Day Delhi, Jamuary, 19, 2009 |
|
Panun Kashmir observed January 19th as ‘Holocaust Day’ to mark 19 years of their ‘exile’. It was 19 years ago that Kashmiri Hindus were forced to leave their homes due to onslaught and persecution from the hands of Islamic militants. On this occasion, many Kashmiri Hindus from Delhi and NCR region gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi with yellow headbands saying ‘HOMELAND’. Dr Ajay Charangoo, Chairman of Panun Kashmir said that “We are determined to uphold our claim on Kashmir as first and natural party and shall not accept any dispensation of Kashmir which does not ensure the protection of life and property, religious tolerance, equality and justice to Kashmiri Hindu minority.” Other speakers also recounted their tales of horror in Kashmir and were disappointed with the government of India for being soft on terror. |
