ccusing government of using wrong means to claim credibility in favor of the return proposal, Panun Kashmir has taken a very serious and strong view of the news item regarding the Apex committee meeting at Jammu wherein it was wrongly mentioned that its President attended its recently organized meeting. Addressing media persons in a press conference here on Friday, leaders of Panun Kashmir, Ashwani Kumar Chragoo, M.L. Raina and Virender Raina said that mentioning of the name of its president in the government news item was a deliberate attempt by the organizers to claim credence and to confuse the community members. They said that the fact of the matter is that the representatives of the Panun Kashmir publicly disassociated themselves from the so-called Committee, formed by the government on the issue of return, on the very next day of its formation. Panun Kashmir also rejected the constitution and existence of the said committee, they said and added that they considered the act of spreading falsehood by the government as mischievous and motivated that aimed at creating confusion among the people, especially Kashmiri Pandits about the position of the leaders of this organization. “It is also tantamount to claiming credibility in favour of the said committee by the government on the issue of return,” they said while condemning the act as nefarious in the most unambiguous terms. |
