NYK, HH conduct Fortnightly Tournament, honour prominent personalities

ith a view to encourage younger generation to follow the foot steps of their seniors, Helpline Humanity and Nehru Yuva Kendra felicitated the personalities of the Nagrota camp who achieved their goals by dint of sheer perseverance by presenting lifetime achievement awards in a function conducted after the completion of District Fortnightly Tournament and District Cultuaral Programme.

Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammed Sayeed was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function. He also distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.

Speaking on the occasion, Peerzada laid importance on the sports and said sports play a vital role in building a healthy society. He eulogized organizers for organizing this mega event.

Minister said that Government was fully committed to promote sports in all parts of the State. He lauded Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and Helpline Humanity for conducting such events and assured them the all help from the State Government for the promotion of such activities.

Among others Pt. A.N Vaishnavi, ASKPC leader, Pt. ML Goja, Deputy Director Nehru Yuva Sangathan and Nissar Ahmed Bhat Director Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, also spoke on the occasion. The personalities felicitated for displaying their unflinching attitude to achieve their goals despite all the odds included ; PK Bhat Deputy Commissioner Sales Tax Audit, Ravinder Bhat Collector PDD, Veer Ji Dhar Assistant Director Handlooms, Maj. Ravi Bharti Indian Army, Vijay Koul, Regional Sales Manager Yamaha Motors, Hira Lal Pandita and Omkar Nath Koul, Social Activists and Vinod Koul, Branch Manager, SBI.
