To my beloved Maamajee” “The man of principles----- ---------our reverred Shri Kashi Nath Dhar” We'll miss you, that's for sure, And yes, we'll love you forever. You'll be in our thoughts no matter, Our actions or any endeavor. We say goodbye with great feeling, Though we truly do not part. Our love for you endures, You will always be in our heart. As I sit analysing my feelings, I find myself deprived of a chance to meet up and know for myself why he had to leave us so suddenly. At least, I did not get an inkling of it when I spoke to him last week from Dubai. He will forgive me for not having dared to express my feelings that I’m writing now while he was alive. Academician by profession, Shri K N Dhar lived an illustrious life while dedicating most of his time for improving lives of others through quality education and building strong moral values in his native village of Frisal and sorrounding areas. Whenever, I looked into his photograph of University convocation cermony hanging in his room, I would get a true reflection of Swami VivekaNanda---- an upright personality, cool and compassinate. He was high on principles of life, a symbol of wisdom and knowledge in our family circles, a nature lover and man of practice. Later part of life, he contributed to the educational development of hundreds in Jammu thru selfless service, charities and education. He had a magical personality and would mesmarize anyone around him thru his grace and wisdom. No wonder why poeple would throng him for his opinions and seek his advises on complex situations. The perfact family man that he was, truly fulfilled all responsibilities in life. One can get true definition for any and every relationships from his life. As much as I was blessed to enjoy relationship of Maama- Bhaanja with him, so was everyone else associated with him in different relationships, be it his parents, wife, brother, sisters, his children or even as a nieghbour. When seen with his close friends, One would get to know purity of friendship. I feel proud and fortunate to have enjoyed a special bonding wherein I experienced warmth of his love and care from childhood. I remember the days he would hold me in lap, take me to his school, to Apple orchid, to places, do everything to see me happy. I remember the beauty of words he used in the letter that he sent on my success in Board examination. He had a uniquely style of encouragement and proved to be great source of inspiration that helped me set my carear goals. He was a true mentor, fatherly figure, guide to me and will remain. As a son, he made his parents proud through his tender care and obedience. As a brother , he guided and maintained the rich values of brotherhood till his last breath. As a mentor, he educated hundreds with good education , skills, values of life . Today, when we go down memory lane and try to retrack his path, we find enormous number of people cry in disbelief that he has left us forever. As a father, he used to get deeply involved in every small detail in family, hence ensured that each of his children are happily settled in their lives. Today, each of his sons (Hari Krishan & Heera Lal) and daughters (Girja, Kiran, Shashi and Dimpi) feel truly blessed being part of him and having shared blissful love. Kind of values he imbibed in his children can clearly be seen from their approach to life or their warmth of love they have for people around them. They will happily go that extra mile that matters in extending helping hand to anyone anytime. In conclusión, Shri KN Dhar lived every moment of life dutifully with high esteem and dignity in every role with unconditional love for all. Let’s all get up and pray to Almighty “May his soul rest in peace and hormany”. May God give us strength to uphold his values, esteem and fulfill his dreams. Sanjay Koul Dubai. UAE |
