Report & images by Raman Raina Criticizing the two year delay in implementing Employment package as a consequence of which thousands of youth crossed upper age limit, KPs on Monday demanded age relaxation to create a ray of hope among the vast number of youth. Addressing media persons in a press conference here today, President Kashmiri Pandit Welfare Movement (KPWM), Pintoo Ji said that the relaxation in upper age limit was the only hope for the over aged youth of the community and the Government should take every step in this regard. "Why was the package delayed for two years," he asked, adding that thousands of youth crossed the upper age limit during these two years and government should take every measure in providing justice to these youth. He further said that even most of those who expressed their willingness to serve in valley before two years have crossed the age limit and are left with no hope. He criticized the government for its failure to fulfill promises it made with the hapless community and sought Prim Ministers intervention in the matter so that the justice is done to all its members. He said that after repeated promises of government from last ten years, the terms and conditions in recently announced package are contrary to the promises. |
