YAIKS goes on hunger-strike to protest Govt apathy Jammu (India) September 20 2010 |

Youth All India Kashmir Samaj (YAIKS) began its two days hunger strike to protest the indifferent attitude of Government towards the community. Talking to media persons here on Monday, YAIKS President- R.K. Bhat has said that the 'callous and irresponsible' attitude of both center and state Governments has forced his party activists to go for hunger strike with a hope that their genuine demands get redressed. He said that no solution to Kashmir was possible without the involvement of Kashmri Pandits, particularly youth as they form the important component of Kashmir policy. He demanded appointment orders for selected candidates and filling up of remaining 3000 jobs. He also demanded onetime compensation of Rs. 25 Lac in favor of over aged youth of community |
