United Hindu Front is glad that they had openly endorsed Barack Obama for the President of US and appealed to Hindus to vote for him as well as for all the Democratic candidates for the senate and the Congress in various States. Amid the media hype about the Presidential race being very close, one of our Hindu astrologers, Gopinath Raina, predicted Obama's sure victory on the morning of the election day, November 6. He had based his prediction on comparative astrological assessment of the birth charts of the two candidates in the fray. He said, while planetary transits favor comfortable win for Obama, these do not bode well for Mitt Romney who would face frustration and disappointment because he was under the Saturnian seven and a half year spell, known as Sadesati. We are confident that the relationship and cooperation between the US and the world's largest democracy India, will not only improve during Obama's second term but will also further strengthen as partners in curbing Islamic terrorism, the threat of which looms large in the world. It is for the first time that Pakistan, despite its traditionally strong historic bond with the US because of Republicans, is on an extreme cautious watch list and is no longer an ally. Obama administration needs to keep further vigil and impose tougher conditions for any financial aid that may be given to Pakistan. The real thaw in Indo-US relationship occurred as a result of the efforts of former Indian Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee who declared America as a natural ally of India. The former Democratic President, Bill Clinton, openly aligned with India and even worked toward ending the Kargil war. And it is President Obama who has carried this relationship forward by boldly supporting India's demand for membership of the UN Security Council. He also targeted terrorist operations in Pakistan, including the ordering of the Navy Seals assault leading to the death of Osama Bin Laden. The millions of Indian-Americans supported President Obama and democratic candidates in this election, only because Hindus feel that the principles of the Democrats are closer to Hindu principles of equality and freedom in the real sense. Hindus believe that individual life, family life, social life, universal life and divine life cannot be ultimately separated from one another; these, in fact, represent different stages of the growth of the individual towards the realization of the ultimate Truth. Republicans' thinking on social issues would have drifted the country toward extreme Christian agenda and possibly criminalize abortion even in the extreme case of rape. American missionary organizations that supported George W Bush and were supporting Mitt Romney would have carried on their missionary agenda in India with renewed vigor. Obama's victory has defeated their nefarious designs. Deepak Ganju, founding member UHF said that they would also like to congratulate Tulsi Gabbard for her election to the US Congress as the First Hindu. She has personally told us that she will take oath on the holy Gita in the congress. Hindus need to continue to be politically active as that is the only way to make their presence felt in the corridors of power in the strongest and the most influential country of the world.

Hindu group in US endorses Barack Obama Nov 4, 2012, 09.47PM IST
WASHINGTON: A US-based Hindu organisation has endorsed President Barack Obama in his re-election bid in this week's polls, alleging that the Republican Party of Mitt Romney is represented by India "hate mongers". "United Hindu Front endorses Barack Obama for the President of US," the organisation said in a statement and asked Hindus Americans to vote for him and the Democratic Party candidates for the November 6 elections "As a Hindu and as an Indian, will you support the party represented by India hate mongers like Dan Burton or the party which has leaders championing our Hindu cause? It was not by accident when Romney said that Pakistan is technically an ally and that he will rebuild relationship with Pakistan. "Romney is clueless about this volatile region and it will, indeed, be a matter of shame for any Hindu American to vote for Mitt Romney," the United Hindu Front said in a statement. "It was not a coincidence that Osama could not have been captured or killed by any Republican President, as they would have sought Pak permission and informed them before entering their territory. Bush or the new clueless Republican Candidate Romney has stated such positions. "Flip-Flopper Romney wants to rebuild relations with Pakistan. There could be some rich Hindus who may be inclined to support Romney in the hope that they may get Tax Breaks, but we hope that National interests will overrule such selfish interests," it said. United Hindu Front said no one can deny great contributions and support to Hindu and Indian interests by Democrats like Congressman Frank Pallone and Senator Sherrod Brown who have been championing the Human Rights cause of Hindus for past several years.
