Orange, blue, green, and yellow,
I look at the butterflies and say “hello.” I smile when I see them fly, A minute they’re low, the next they’re high! Pink, purple, orange, and red, The morning sky just got out of bed. I look at the groggy sun, “Come on! Today shall be fun!” Raw green, deep and dark green, All winter where have you been? Hopping frog green, slithering snake green, Layers and layers of unseen green. Black, white, brown, and tan, I closely examine the color of man. What lies beneath that we fail to see Is the rainbow of hope reaching from you to me? |
