oint Forum of Kashmiri Pandit organizations on Saturday strongly condemned the Kashmir statement of Omar Abdullah, saying that in normal situation it is the Chief Minister who is guardian of the constitutional frontiers of the nation in the state but unfortunately JK CM's speech amply borders on sedition. Addressing a joint press conference here today the KP leaders including Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, H.L.Chatta, General Secretary, ASKPC, D.N. Kissu, Chairman, NCMCC, Virender Raina, Joint Forum Spokesperson and Chuni Lal Bhat, President, Purkhoo camp unit of the Joint Forum, demanded action against the Chief Minister. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said Government of India needs to take a very strong cognizance of the matter, adding that it also needs to clarify whether the said statement had prior understanding and approval of the coalition partner, the Congress party. He thanked the role played by the Opposition members of the Assembly belonging to the BJP, Panthers Party and Jammu State Morcha. H.L.Chata said that CMs statement has been appreciated by the secessionist elements of Kashmir and has pushed forward their illegitimate agenda in the Assembly of the state. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult to differentiate between the legally elected representative of the state and the secessionist leaders, he added. D.N. Kissu the nationalist people of the state have been taken aback by the statement of the Chief Minister. |
