| Report & images by Raman Raina All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) held a convention under the leadership of A.N.Vaishnavi and highlighted the demands of community. The participants demanded declaring of community as socially backward and economically wrecked and internally displaced people, one time compensation for over aged youth, carving out separate state for Kashmiri Pandits. The other problems being faced by the community members living in various parts of country were also highlighted. MLC, Vijay Bakaya was the chief Guest on the occasion while Swami Kumar Ji was the guest of honor. On the occasion Chief Photo journalist of English Daily “The Shadow” and Shehjar- Raman Raina was honored and was presented a shawl and certificate for his contribution to journalism. Those who spoke on the occasion included H.L. Chatta, Swami Kumar Ji, M.L. Malla, Ravinder Raina, R.L. Bhat, H.L. Jad and others |
