The setting sun- the end of a day, without which, the next day will never come
Life is holding on to me By a couple of thin strings I long to move on now And fly with stretched wings I will be born again I know For it will be a brief rest Working out my karma With renewed faith and zest I still have a lot to do So I will be born again Next time, I pray to God It should not be in vain What I took from others I pray that I’ll repay What I gave to others At Krishna’s feet I lay Let me come closer to you With every birth my Krishna Make me a part of you To forever end my Trishna

My name is Neeta Dhar Grover. I am a Kashmiri by birth and a doctor by profession. I completed my MBBS and MD from Grant Medical College, Mumbai. I left Srinagar in 1990 with my parents and brother, and am still waiting to back, at least once before I die. I am working as an Associate Professor in Pharmacology in Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Sangli, Maharashtra. I am married to Dr. Amit Grover, who is a Radiation Oncologist in a cancer hospital in Sangli, where we have settled. We have a six year old daughter called Aanya Grover, who also longs to go to Kashmir and see what snow looks like. I love reading, knitting, browsing the net and painting. Sometimes, when something really touches my heart, I try to express it in a poem. The Road and The Tree is based on a real life incident in Sangli, where you can still see the tree stump lying by the side of the road.

Susheel Ji, What I mean is that there are many more things in this life that I could have done but was unable to do.Things that could have improved somebody's life, rather than my own. Before the AAtma merges into the Parmaatma,we need to overcome many faults and weaknesses that prevent the union.I hope that has clarified things. Thanks for taking out time to read the poem and think about it.
