ashmirashmira Kashmira Vahini is organizing a one day All India Kashmiri Hindu Women Conference on 26th of December 2010 in Jammu. This is going to be a landmark occasion in our ‘struggle in exile’ as the conference will for the first time give expression to the collective consciousness of Kashmiri Pandit women.Kashmira Vahini has envisaged an event packed day for the occasion which will see several memorable segments dedicated to the pressing issues confronting our community in general and Kashmiri Pandit women in particular. We hope to conclude with a comprehensive road map for guiding our struggle in the coming days. One of the most significant features of the conference will be recognizing the supreme contribution or achievement of a Kashmiri Pandit woman. Kashmira Vahini proposes to institute prestigious ‘Vitasta Sukanya Samman’ and confer the first award to a Kashmiri Pandit women for her exemplary contribution in the field of social service, culture, education, science, literature, art, religion, politics etc. 
The recipient of the Samman will be a Kashmiri Pandit woman who with her supremely commendable credentials has made our community truly proud. She would be a role model for our youngsters and her deeds would be worth emulating.Vitasta Sukanya Samman will accord recognition to the contributions of one Kashmiri Pandit women every year. As such the award will assume the prestige of being the most exalted decoration of a person. Though Kashmira Vahini may have envisaged the Samman, it will genuinely strive to make it a community honour that transcends organizational imperatives. Since, Vitasta Sukanya Samman is envisaged to be real community recognition; Kashmira Vahini has taken a conscious decision of letting our community members to decide on the recipients. Kashmira Vahini, therefore, invites nominations for 1st VITASTA SUKANYA SAMMAN from all members of our community. Nominations can be sent by any Kashmiri Pandit living anywhere in the world. Please back your nominations with small paragraphs in support of your recommendation. You may send as many nominations as you want provided all nominations are supported by valid credentials. The nominations can me mailed or couriered to us so as to reach us latest by 10th of December 2010. PLEASE NOTE: - ALL NOMINATIONS MUST CONTAIN FULL NAME, ADDRESS AND CONTACT DETAILS OF THE PERSONS SENDING THE RECOMMENDATION. Any nomination without this information will not be entertained. Kashmira Vahini would also like to take this opportunity to once again invite our women force to actively register for the conference and make it a memorable event.
